Alana Shaw - MVMT Founder & Pilates
Completing her Mat training in 2019, she continued her training with Polestar Australia in 2020.
Alana loves the way you can utilise the spring tension to assist someone achieve a movement and challenge them all at the same time! However.. nothing beats the mat. The mat never lies and it's a wonderful way of learning what your body can and can't do whilst challenging yourself to be able to do more.
As a Myotherapist, Alana has a clinical eye and a strong focus on technique. Her experience in rehabilitation and injury management helps her with work members in a group setting to manage injuries whilst working towards getting stronger and feeling your best!

Kahli Joyce - MVMT Founder & Yoga
Kahli is passionate about sharing the soothing power of yoga with others, which is why she became a teacher. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training with Jenni Morrison-Jack at Ihana Yoga, and mentoring under Karen Shelton at Tidal Flow Yoga. She has also completed foundational training in Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), which is the first yoga-based, empirically validated clinical intervention for complex trauma. Kahli has also completed Kids Yoga training through Rainbow Kids Yoga and, drawing from her knowledge and experience as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, has developed a unique Kids Yoga Program that builds motor skills, postural strength, interoceptive awareness, accommodates sensory processing differences, and respects different ways of thinking, learning, and interacting.
Kahli brings equal parts play and calm to her classes. She loves to take students through creative flows and nurture awareness of body, mind, and breath. Kahli is particularly passionate about modifying the physical practice to ensure accessibility for all yogis, and helping yogis with “busy brains” to find a meditative state, be that through movement, breath work, guided visualisation, or supported meditation practices.

Karen Shelton - Yoga
Karen’s practice is rooted in the rhythms of real life—motherhood, healing, transformation, and grace. She turned to yoga during pregnancy and postpartum, where breath and stillness became her sanctuary. What began as a personal refuge evolved into a meaningful path she now shares with others. With training in Yin & Meditation, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Pre/Postnatal care, Karen brings both depth and softness to her teaching. Her classes are a gentle return—to the body, the breath, and to what truly matters. At MVMT, she creates space for community, connection, and conscious rest. Expect soulful classes that invite you to slow down, feel deeply, and remember your wholeness.
"Yoga reminds us we are already whole. In the mess and magic of being human, we return to presence, softness, and grace." – Karen Shelton

Emma Burgess - Yoga & Youth Yoga
Emma is a fun-loving and curious yogi who practiced yoga on-and-off from 2015, but then fell in love with her yoga practice after stumbling into a 6am class at Tidal Flow between lockdowns in 2020. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with House of Om in February 2024, and her Yin training throughout 2025. Emma also has a background as a high-school English teacher where she carried yoga into her classroom and deepened her passion of supporting the growth of the whole child.
Emma’s classes are strong and grounding, with a foundation in how we take yoga into our lives beyond the yoga mat – for adults and young people.

Rachel Walkerden - MVMT Founder
Rach fell in love with yoga at a time where life was so fast paced; working full time, studying full time and training for body building competitions. “Yoga is my invitation to slow down. It's a space where I reconnect with my breath and let the noise of the world fall away. On the mat, movement becomes my meditation — intentional, grounding, and deeply personal. For a few hours each week, yoga is just for me. It’s not about performance or perfection, but presence. It’s where I remember to be still, to breathe, and to simply be”.
