Rachel Walkerden

Myotherapist | The MYO Collective

Rach is passionate about providing holistic health care to the community. Working with clients to reduce pain, improve function and achieve their goals.

Growing up Rach competed in swimming at a state level. Over the years Rach has dabbled in hockey, soccer and bodybuilding. Rach is a keen yogi and has loved growing her practice over the past 7 years.

As a teenager Rach struggled with non-specific lower back pain, which took her out of the pool and off the sports field for months. After seeing a range of healthcare professionals and specialists she started treatment with a Myotherapist. Within a matter of weeks she was pain free, out of a back brace and back doing the things she loved!

After graduating from a Bachelor of Health Science (Health Promotion and Nutrition) in 2009 Rach found full time work in the community service sector.

In 2014 Rach completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage and commenced working as a Remedial Massage Therapist. Her love for her job and the industry guided her to return to study once more and complete the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy.

Coming from a Remedial Massage background Rach combines those great feeling massage techniques with Myotherapy techniques to create a thorough treatment plan.

"The body has a phenomenal ability to heal and adapt and I believe that the principles of Myotherapy provide the body with a helping hand to achieve this!"
