Alana is a passionate Myotherapist who strives to help her clients move and feel better.
Her interest in the human body started at a young age through her keen interest in sport and movement. From calisthenics, tennis and netball in her youth, to Pilates, Yoga and Touch Football as an adult. This has all played a part in motivating her to become a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor straight out of high school. However, while working with clients she would see so many people with injuries and working through pain that she decided to change career paths so that she could help those people.
Training in Remedial Massage was the perfect starting point to helping people with pain and restriction, but there was a thirst for more, a desire to understand the why and how. From there, Alana continued her journey into Myotherapy.
In a treatment with Alana, you will receive a range of manual therapy techniques as well as movement, strength and education to improve function, reduce pain and prevent injury. It is this approach that Alana believes will assist you in living a healthier and happier lifestyle.
Alana is also currently upgrading her knowledge and qualifications to a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy).
