Callan Beacroft

Remedial Massage Therapist | The Myo Collective

Callan brings a unique blend of lived experience, technical skill, and genuine care to his work as a therapist. A former circus acrobat, he spent many years training and performing at a high physical level and, along the way, experienced countless physiotherapy and myotherapy treatments. It was through these experiences that Callan discovered his passion for the profession.

As an acrobat, Callan often felt overlooked by practitioners who followed rigid formulas rather than truly listening. When he decided to move on from circus, he knew he wanted to become the kind of therapist he wished he had during those vulnerable moments — one who listens, cares, and takes the time to understand the individual in front of them. His goal is simple but powerful: to be remembered as the therapist who genuinely cared and made clients feel seen and supported.

Callan takes a strong biopsychosocial approach to care. He looks beyond symptoms alone, considering factors that may be influencing a client’s presentation from a holistic perspective. Whether someone is managing injury, navigating ongoing stress, or simply seeking the connection that comes with hands-on care, Callan doesn’t take presentations at face value.

He understands that how treatment is delivered matters just as much as the techniques themselves. Callan is mindful of balancing hands-on and hands-off approaches; expect plenty of hands on treatment with the addition of some take home exercises for maximum benefit.

Callan completed the Diploma of Remedial Massage at RMIT in 2025 and will be commencing the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy in early 2026. During his studies, Callan was recognised by his teachers and peers as having great hands-on skills and technical knowledge and was often requested by members of the public for student clinic.
